First, in the “paw-holders” in the center, you need to drill small holes and screw the thermometer in the right place to the plastic window. Before mounting, apply a small amount of sealant around the hole in the foot to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the frame.

This method of attachment is one of the most reliable and durable, but at the same time leads to deformation of the plastic frame. But in the winter of the year, when snow falls from the roof, this type of fastening can fail.

To mount the thermometer, you can choose not the window frame, but its slope.
In this case, expensive metal-plastic or wooden structures will not be damaged. Another advantage of this method of fastening can be called the maximum distance from the glass, which means that the accuracy of the thermometer will be higher.
To mount the device in this way, you must first drill the slope at a distance of four centimeters from its outer edge, so that the edge of the concrete or brick wall does not break off. Dowels are installed in the holes obtained, into which the screws will be screwed.
“Paw-holders”, which in most cases are designed to fix the device to the frame, will not allow you to mount the device in the desired position. Therefore, they can be cut or choose a device in which they are not provided.

Thus, there are several ways to install an outdoor thermometer. If the method “stuck or screwed” does not fit, you can choose a device that is placed on the windowsill. In this case, a special sensor connected to the main device with a flexible wire will be used to measure the temperature of the street air.
The wire and sensor do not deform even under strong mechanical stress, which will ensure their continued operation. But like other instruments designed to measure temperature, this option has a certain error and the accuracy of the readings is not absolute.
