You started the program, but the wash never started, and the error code F34 appeared on the display? The problem is obvious: the hatch door is not fixed. All Bosch washing machine models are equipped with a security system that will not allow the program to start if the drum is not closed tightly. To correct the situation, you need to find the source of the problem.
Diagnostics and Verification
Door Lock Error can be both mechanical and electronic in nature. To begin with, it is worth checking the most obvious malfunctions on the part of mechanics:
- The door was not closed tightly. Perhaps you just did not make the necessary effort. Try again, but do not overdo it;
- Check to see if something is stuck in the castle area. This can be both small garbage formed after past washings, and linen loaded into the drum;
- The tongue of the lock or door hinges was worn out. Unfortunately, mechanical parts are not eternal, but their replacement is quite simple. You can try to disassemble the door yourself, clean the mechanisms or replace them;
- If the door closes tightly, but no audible click is heard, then the locking mechanism guide is damaged. Replacing it will solve the problem.
If everything is in order with the mechanics or you do not risk disassembling the components yourself, then it is worth checking the electronics. After the door is closed, the hatch lock sends a signal that notifies the main control module that a wash program can start. If the device fails, even a correctly closed door calls code F34. But sometimes just restarting the control system of the washing machine is enough to get rid of the problem. Disconnect it for a quarter of an hour, and then try to open and close the hatch again.
