- if, however, the rinse is completed, then the spin does not work, does not gain momentum and the code F 08 is displayed.
The Ariston unit, in which the manufacturer does not provide a display, will display the F08 / F 8 fault, depending on its modification, using the following indicators:
- Ariston Margherita, displays a malfunction by cyclically blinking indicator lights responsible for starting the unit (8 times in a row, stopping for a period of up to 10 seconds and repeating). The cipher of the problem will be supplemented by a constantly illuminating porthole lock lamp, while the program switch knob continuously rotates clockwise with characteristic clicks.
- Ariston modifications AVL, AVSL, etc. will display a malfunction due to the blinking of the delayed mode indicator and blinking with a shorter interval of the indicator light, which is responsible for blocking the door of the device.
- Hotpoint-Ariston modifications ARSL, ARXL, etc. notifies of a malfunction by blinking the third indicator light of the spin mode (the countdown must be carried out from top to bottom in the mode selection bar). In addition, all indicators responsible for additional functions may be lit.
- Hotpoint-Ariston Aqualtis will notify you of a malfunction by blinking the fourth temperature indicator 50 ° C (count down from bottom to top).

The abbreviation F 08 indicates a breakdown of the electric heating element. The unit determines that the water heating mode is turned on, or it actually constantly works and does not turn off, mainly in the absence of water in the drum. As a result, your device blocks operation and displays a problem.
If the contact circuit that provides water heating has an open (break) or damage, then the machine will display a F8 fault, in addition, such an error is very rarely possible due to a pressostat malfunction. Malfunction F 08, repair without additional professional assistance
