Why is error e09 appearing?

In 10% of cases, the error e09 in the dishwasher can report:

  • software failure;
  • about a fault in the wiring, poor contact in the outlet;
  • about the inconsistency of the cross section of the electric cable power consumption of equipment;
  • About the deteriorated temperature sensor;
  • about errors in the operation of the main module.

In 90% of cases, this is a breakdown of the heating element, as a result of which it is necessary to repair or replace this heater.

The following provoking factors lead to the failure of the heater:

  • period of operation of the machine: the older it is, the more probability of malfunction;
  • scale on the heater, as a result of which it heats the water longer, constantly overheats and, in the end, burns out;
  • filter clogging: as a result, poor water circulation and overheating of the heating element, as a result, it fails;
  • worn out pipes, hoses, gaskets lead to depressurization and water getting on the contacts - short circuit, heater fuses.

How to troubleshoot in ten percent of cases

If the error is highlighted for the first time, perhaps not everything is so bad and it is enough to reload the program. To do this, turn off the car by unplugging the plug, wait 10 minutes and turn it on. If the error no longer appears, then the problem is resolved.

Check wiring, replace the outlet, eliminate the defect in the mains immediately. Procrastination can lead to fire, electric shock, serious damage to equipment with expensive repairs.

If it is revealed that the water does not stop heating, or in general the dishwasher does not heat water, pay attention to the temperature sensor. Overheating of the heater will lead to its failure and may even cause a fire. Therefore, the dishwasher must be de-energized immediately. Need to repair or replace the temperature sensor.

Malfunctions of the elements of the control unit can lead to incorrect operation of the temperature control circuit of the water heater. Damage to the sensor occurs due to power surges. This malfunction is eliminated by replacing the electronic components on the control unit.

What to do if the heating element fails?

The first option is to invite a specialist service center to replace a wrecked unit. The second option is to try to cope on your own, not forgetting the safety rules.

Important detail! Error e09 of the bosch dishwasher is diagnosed only in third-generation models. Structurally, the heater is part of the circulation pump (Fig. 2), therefore, the entire assembly must be replaced. When buying parts, you should consider the model of the machine so as not to make a mistake in choosing.

First you need to get to the burned site. This is the most time-consuming process, as the machine will have to be disassembled almost completely.

The procedure is as follows:

  1. Disconnect equipment, disconnect all communications.
  2. Release the machine chamber from dishes, nets, wire racks.
  3. Release latches on the housing, remove the housing.
  4. A metal plate is fixed under the door of the dishwasher. It must be removed by unscrewing the bolts.
  5. Carefully remove thermal insulation, set aside.
  6. Now the turn of the pan is to unscrew the bolts (Fig. 3).

  10. Disconnect the nozzle from the pump and slowly, without jerking, pull out the sump.
  11. The drain pump is removed by turning clockwise.
  12. Circulation block mounts hooks. Carefully remove the part from the fasteners, having previously disconnected the wires, hoses, pipes.
  13. Remove the clamp and wires connecting the heater to the pump. The wiring diagram must first be fixed in order to assemble everything correctly later.
  14. Install a new node.
  15. Reassemble the parts in reverse order.
  16. Check the performance of the equipment.
